Pingan - 平安
Pingan is no longer a peaceful village. During our last visit in March 2008, it was invaded by hundreds of Chinese group visitors. Backpackers can go to Pingan from Guilin in the morning by bus and then walk to Jinkeng, a 4-hour easy trek. Group tourists from Guilin don't go to Jinkeng due to the steep ascent from Parking to the top viewpoint. Travelers can still enjoy charming minority villages, not distroyed by tourism.
