Xijie, West street:
Filled
with bars, cafes and restaurants, from local cuisine, snacks
to French and Italian restaurants.
Reasonable price for Chinese meal, not more expansive than restaurants
outside West street in the town.
Outside west street:
Restaurants for Chinese tourists or local people, the atmosphere
is a little bit lousy.
Opposite the bus station, near the market, there is an open
restaurant which offers
'Sha1 Guo1 Fan4' Rice boiled in a mini earthenware pot. Fresh
vegetables, different kinds of tofu,
meat displayed for clients to make their own choice. The chef
would sauté what you selected in
a pan, flavor them with different local seasonings, and add
them onto the rice. Just for Y 5.
Definitely delicious.
For breakfast, in west street restaurants offer eastern/western
breakfast from Y10 to Y20
If you go to the streets behind west street, you will find where
locals buy their breakfast:
Baozi, Jiaozi, noodles, huntun, they are all delicious and cheap.
